A Classic vintage cravat

 

Dating from: 1930s -1940s

 

Label: “ Favourite” Made in England

 

Fabric: Rayon (feels like cotton)

 

Description: A mustard gold background with large burgundy paisley designs with little highlights of grey.

 

The cravat can be worn two ways:

 

The short way (RAF Style) start with the label facing your neck under your chin and cross over the two ends behind your neck bring them round to the front and tie the ends bringing one end over the other and secure with cravat pin, tuck ends inside shirt.

 

The long way (Noel Coward Style) Put the label facing your neck at the back of your neck and bring the two ends around to the front simply cross over the two ends, secure with a cravat pin tuck ends inside shirt.

 

Measurements:

tip to tip 44 ¾ “(113.5 cm) width at tip: 5 ½” (12.5cm) width at the narrow point 2” (5cm)
