Established in 1700 By 1939, the firm had spinning, weaving and yarn dyeing factories in Bolton and factories in Newton Heath, Manchester, weaving silk and wool and producing handkerchiefs and ties. Subsidiaries’ activities included dress manufacture, bleaching, dyeing and crease resistant finishing.

Fabric: Quality heavy cotton viyella in a traditional gentleman’s paisley pattern with a rich burgundy a mid blue paisley with yellow centres to the pattern.

Features: A shawl collar and cuffs in navy, trim this gentleman’s dressing gown there are two patch pockets, and one breast pocket with the original belt.
Ideal to wear for: Slipping into something more comfortable! Looks very smart teamed with a cravat or just wear to be chilled.
Vintage Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition for its age: with some repair to the edge of the back collar and the belt loops.
