Lotus was a well-known manufacturer of simulated and cultured pearls; the Lotus Pearl factory was established in Birmingham and Lotus pearls became world renown.

Inner Strand length: 15 ½ “ (39.5cm)
Outer Strand length 17 " (43cm)
This means the pearls are choker length and sit just inside the neckline please see the last photo of the necklace on a 13 ½ “mannequin neck to see how they hang.

Made of: Lotus Pearls are not natural pearls they are simulated or cultured clasp and safety chain is made of Sterling Silver which is set with clear faceted stones.
 
The original case is made of metal covered in leather with brass hinges and is lined in ivory satin and velour.

Description: Stunning two graduated rows of simulated Lotus Pearls on hand knotted silk they have a beautiful fluidity to them and sit perfectly in the neckline. The pearls are rich iridescent pearl in colour. They come in the original 1956 leather and velvet lined box that they were in on the day they were purchased on 14 November 1956, together with the care lotus care tissue that is in two parts, and the original bill and guarantee.
