Length from waist to hem 30 ½ " (77.5 cm) hem is a top stitched ¼” (.5cm)

Fabric: Black taffeta with white shooting stars print the neck fill in ivory nylon chiffon.
Style: A classic cleverly cut 1940s dress the sleeve is a cap sleeve from the bodice which has a turn back pointed split cuff feature. This is echoed in the collar that surrounds the neckline infill with a pointed split at the centre front. The infill is ivory pleated chiffon which makes a little sweetheart shape. There are darts from the waist on the back and front of the bodice.
Features: Pocket alert! Who doesn’t love a pocket, and this dress has two shaped from the panels. The skirt is made of four A line shaped panels which are attached at the waist in a flat seam, giving the skirt lovely movement at the hem, with enough fabric for a full petticoat. The original belt is no longer with the dress there is. ablet loop for a 1 ½ “ belt ( 4cm)
Closure: 9 ½ " (24 cm) metal zip at the side the side zips in the forties were short due to lack of metal for zips.
Ideal to wear for: events this dress can be dressed up or worn more casually. In the forties wrist length lace gloves and a cream or black hat could have been worn with this dress please see photos for styling ideas.
